## System State
Game Brain v1 scaffold is initialized and committed. The framework was Fable-reviewed and reconciled into a reduced v1: one ritual, a small register set, model-output quarantine, GitHub Issues for tasks, and one generated portal page. The placeholder smoke test passed on 2026-07-09.
The Blake/Will collaboration surface is resolved (DEC-0001): both edit the canonical Game Brain vault directly in Obsidian, Obsidian Sync provides encrypted remote synchronization and version recovery, the portal displays the game's current state, and GitHub runs in the background as backup and automation rather than a human editing surface. Google Drive remains optional for simultaneous drafting or large source material. Blake's encrypted `Game Brain` remote vault is active and fully synchronized; Will's Sync activation, invitation, and cross-device test remain pending.
The portal builder is Python (`03-Resources/scripts/build_portal.py`, stdlib-only), replacing the retired PowerShell builder. It emits the main `index.html`, the `PORTAL.md` fallback, generated World Bible pages under `world/`, and dedicated Prototype and Playtest centers under `prototype/` and `playtests/`. A shared primary navigation shell connects Design, World, Prototype, Playtests, and System. Design remains the default immersive view and now includes State of the Game, Current Development Target, factual test-readiness indicators, World Bible, next creative steps, design questions, prototype movement, creative decisions, rules, and playtest evidence. System contains the operational handoff, Game Brain tools, health, operational decisions, full state, reconciliation, and process content. The compact freshness banner and warnings remain above the Design/System tabs so trust signals are never hidden. World Bible pages are canonical Markdown under `01-World/`; the portal derives category navigation, entity pages, forward links, and reverse links without creating another truth surface. Proposed and accepted canon receive visibly different treatments, disputed material is always marked, and encounters map outcomes to story threads and designed state changes. Prototype pages bind purpose, scope, rules version, known breakages, and questions to a specific playable build. Playtest pages bind objectives and evidence to exact prototype and rules versions, while `_meta/development_risks.md` tracks evidence-backed risks without replacing GitHub Issues. The primary URL hashes remain `#design` / `#system`, with legacy `#dev` / `#analysis` aliases retained. Panels show verbatim register data or an explicit empty state, nothing machine-synthesized. A `--link-base` flag rewrites source links to absolute GitHub blob URLs for hosted builds; local builds and `PORTAL.md` keep relative links. Component inventory remains gated until real component counts exist, and balance tooling remains gated until numeric tuning begins. Session close remains the single portal writer; CI validates independently. The portal is privately hosted through Cloudflare Access for Blake and Will.
The 2026-07-13 trust pass makes export visibility explicit, validates distinct Blake and Will approval evidence for durable canon states, and fingerprints portal inputs so CI can detect generated-output drift without relying on file modification times. The portal now exposes a Recorded State matrix, a Joint Review Shelf, Recent Studio Sessions, and Recent Recorded Activity. Evidence Chain and World Connections displays remain hidden until their canonical source data meets the defined gates. Hosted source links are URL-safe and local source links offer an Obsidian path. Six regression tests cover question parsing, approval evidence, visibility, hosted links, and fingerprint behavior; strict builds fail on blocking warnings.
Voice capture now uses deliberately submitted native iPhone Voice Memos
transcripts. Working transcript notes live in `00-Inbox/voice/transcripts/`, are
reviewed before reconciliation, and remain visible only in the portal's System
space. Original audio is retained until reconciliation and is never deleted
without explicit confirmation from Blake or Will.
Portal v2's Grok-brief assessment is reconciled (MOR-0001 in `_meta/model_output_reconciliation.md`, partially_accepted): Phase A and private hosting from Phase B are implemented; the Issues snapshot and Phase C data-gated sections remain deferred behind their gates. Private hosting is accepted in DEC-0002; the default tab, Issues-snapshot compromise, and open-questions tag format remain routed to Blake + Will.
Register hygiene from the 2026-07-09 upgrade session: the V1 closeout now starts with commit+push (step 0); `PORTAL.md` is registered as Will's browser read surface; DEC-0001 names a scribe-model fallback and an extended review trigger; and a Cloudflare hosting go/no-go is tracked in open questions.
GitHub Issues are live as the sole active task register; Issues #1 and #2 track the joint transcript review and Will's Obsidian Sync onboarding. The repository contains issue templates, a 10-label manifest, and `.github/gh-setup.ps1`; the label-setup script remains unrun.
Next action: when Blake and Will are together, use the portal's Joint Review Shelf to continue the paused transcript review and confirm the unidentified speaker. After Will activates Obsidian Sync, invite him to the encrypted `Game Brain` remote vault and complete a cross-device edit plus version-recovery test. The GitHub remote is HTTPS.
